Bookswim, another way to take a library with you on a travel nursing job

Share

travel nurse reading a book during a travel jobAwhile ago I posted about ebook readersand how they let you take a library with you on a travel nursing job. Which is a great idea if you are a techie person, but if you are a little more old fashioned love to hold the book in your hand, then another solution might be the one for you.

A website called BookSwim.com lets you rent books, which is great for travel nurses who don’t want to lug around a books to each assignment.

BookSwim.com basically works like Netflix. Below is their instructional overview:

Add the books you want into your Rental Pool No-hassle deliveries to your door Enjoy books with NO due dates and NO late fees Mail books back FREE! Next books sent automatically

They have a variety of plans available depending on how big of a reader you are:

3 Books at a time light reader free shipping both ways
5 Books at a time casual reader free shipping both ways
7 Books at a time avid reader free shipping both ways
11 Books at a time devout reader free shipping both ways
1 Book at a time occasional reader $3.99 S&H Free Returns

I haven’t tried it out myself, but if you are a big reader, but don’t like packing and hauling a box of books around on your travel nursing assignment then BookSwim.com is a site you should check out.

I do post just a small sampling of travel nursing jobs from Medical Solutions, but mostly I write about travel nursing. On this site you will not be recruited on this blog (unless you specifically inquire about traveling with Medical Solutions then I will forward your info to a Recruiter). I understand that you are reading and/or commenting on this blog purely for informational purposes and I want you to enjoy that experience My job is to help you meet your career goals by sharing information, advice and the benefits of travel nursing with you.

What’s wrong with a library card?

  2. Jeff says:

That’s a good point, but if you don’t want to have to register for and pay for a new library card in every city you work in, then this could be an alternative. I am not aware of a nationally accepted library card. Is there one?
