Like we discussed in the last post in the series on organizing your travel nursing life Evernote is a free and powerful tool that will make you wonder where it has been your whole life.
What makes it so great? Well, its like a Trapper Keeper for your computer. Here is an overview of its capabilities (we will go into how to use them to keep your life as a traveler organized later):
- It lets you easily capture anything you see on the web and put it in one central location called a “Notebook”
- It works with almost every computer, phone and mobile device around so you can access your account anytime, anywhere
- It lets you search easily by keyword, tags (you create) and even printed and handwritten text inside images
Signing up is easy, free and just requires an email account to set up. Once you have an account you will get a confirmation email that will walk you through the set up process.
- Your desktop computer
- Your laptop
- Your smart phone
- Your iPad
- Your web browser
And if you find yourself away from any of your devices and still want to send any information to your Notebook all you need to do is email it to your special Evernote email address and it will show up. Cool right?
Evernote is also constantly syncing itself so your account is always up to date no matter which device you opened it on you will see the Notebook.
Take this week to set up your account and next week we will get started using it to research the travel nursing industry.
