Say no to boring travel nurse housing

cool travel nursing housingEvery once in awhile you may hit the travel nurse housing jackpot and end up in an amazing cottage overlooking a lake or a condo on the ocean. However, more often than not you may find yourself staying in an apartment, whether you take company housing or take a housing stipend and set up your own housing. And although a fully paid apartment is still pretty nice, the prospect of 13 weeks of coming home to blank white walls may not sound that appealing.

If you are in the category of travel nurses who want a little more design and color in your housing then be sure to check out Dezign With a Z. It is a great website with hundreds of great vinyl wall decals & decorative wall stickers to spruce up your apartment. Putting them on your walls is super easy (watch the video below) and they can be easily removed without causing damage to the walls.

They have tons of categories to choose from including:

  • Abstract
  • Animals
  • Floral Art
  • Characters
  • Kids Rooms
  • Glow in the Dark
  • Writables
  • Nature
  • Voyage
  • Urban
  • Bi-Colors
  • Packs
  • Wall Mirrors
  • Wall Clocks
  • Super Size
  • Digital Canvas
  • Wall Murals
  • Gift Certificates
  • Custom Letterings

They even offer the ability to create your own custom designs and rices seem reasonable ranging from anywhere from $25 for decals to $85 for a wall mural.

One of the best parts of using decals like this is that you can pick a new look at each new assignment if you need a change. But if you want some familiarity on each assignment you can have the same decor at each new assignment. It is up to you.

I know what you mean when you say coming home to some “blank white walls”. I could hardly wait to leave my apartment environment. However, one can manage, and, it is a challange, to decorate the whitle walls with nice accessories that will compliment your rooms. You’d be surprised what you can do with “blank white walls”.
