I would not recommend traveling with this company. If you do wish to accept an assignment with them, get everything in writing in your contract, but realize that even with written statements, you will not necessarily be paid in full.
Medstaff claims that they offer RN license reimbursement, and it is prominently displayed as one of the benefits they offer on their website. I have written correspondence (e-mail) from both my recruiter and payroll specialist that I would receive this reimbursement for my new RN license after I successfully completed my 13-week contract. I completed my contract successfully and in excellent standing, but the reimbursement never came. I sent multiple e-mails reminding my recruiter of this missing payment, and never received a response. I also called her and left voicemails on her answering machine about it - again, no response. I find her completely ignoring me to be very unprofessional.
I also had issues with my housing stipend pay. My recruiter was not able to help me with the issue. I was partially reimbursed after I spoke with a manager, but I was not able to receive the complete pay that is stated in my contract.
I have attempted to reach out to my recruiter both on the phone and via e-mail to learn about travel nursing jobs posted on their website. I have not received a single call or e-mail back ever since I spoke up about my pay issues. It's like talking into a void. I was always professional during all my discussions with them, even when I had to dispute my pay. I'm so glad I didn't have any issues at the hospital during my contract -- would they just ignore me and hope I'd go away?
All in all, I only came out short about $200. But it's not about the money. It's about working with people who state, both verbally and in writing, that they will do something, and then not do it. It's about integrity - Medstaff doesn't have it.
