About the Author:

My name is Jeff Long. I’m the Marketing Manager at Medical Solutions, one of the leading travel nursing companies. I have never been a nurse and am not a recruiter. I have worked at Medical Solutions for four years and think it is a great company that has a lot to offer nurses and allied health professionals interested in a travel career. I do post just a small sampling of travel nursing jobs from Medical Solutions, but mostly I write about travel nursing. On this site you will not be recruited on this blog (unless you specifically inquire about traveling with Medical Solutions then I will forward your info to a Recruiter). I understand that you are reading and/or commenting on this blog purely for informational purposes and I want you to enjoy that experience My job is to help you meet your career goals by sharing information, advice and the benefits of travel nursing with you.

    Hello,
i wanted to ask anyone who’s had the chance of traveling with different agency, are they all created equal? which ones pay the most and which ones should i avoid.
    thank you!

I’m wondering the same thing Jacob is… is there a website that compares all the travel nursing companies or allows people to comment on their experiences with different companies? Picking a company has proven the most difficult aspect of deciding to travel! Thank you!

HighwayHypodermics.com has a couple of different comparisons on her site. One by benefits offered and one by traveler evals. I would check those out, some of the info may be outdated, but it is still pretty good.

The Ultimate Nurse forums also have a travel company spotlight that is worth looking at, again I don’t know how up to date it is.

I think that TravelNursingCentral.com also has a traveler review area, but I’m not certain. Hope these sites can help.

  4. The best way to agency reviews is to ask the travel nurses that are working in your hospital or area right now. Ask them what they think about their agency. Also ask them what other agencies that they would recommend. Most nurses who work travel/agency full time are signed up with one or more agency.

If you do sign up with an agency recommended by a nurse that you talked to, be sure to tell the agency right away the name of the nurse who referred you. Then the agency will give that nurse a referral bonus.

NurseTogether.com and AllNurses.com have very good forums for agency recommendations.

I personally use Medical Express and MedNational Staffing. I wrote about these two agencies on Squidoo.

My webpage on squidoo tells you who to contact at both agencies. The two recruiters that I work with are very good. I have also provided links so that you can easily contact these recruiters.

  5. Me too I prefer to use blog for my nursing site. It is more effective than they do more
