Is this patient a mystery shopper?
Could your next patient be a mystery shopper hired by your facility to provide feedback on the care he or she received? I just read an article that the American Medical Association’s ethics counsel is considering this.
I think hospitals and their staff should always be looking for ways to improve their care, but I’m not so sure this is the right way to go about it. I would hate to think that anyone with a serious condition would have to wait while a mystery shopper is being tended to.
As a travel nurse how do you feel about this?
